"I'm a jeweler, small businesswoman, teacher, cat lady, lover of Kung Fu movies, and the bearer of an often mispronounced name (it's "Maya" not "Mee-ah"). I've made my way working in the Arts in such places as Washington, DC, New Orleans, and Iowa City, and I've now come to roost in Salt Lake City, where I run my business – 2 dots over the i. I'm also the course scheduler for the Lifelong Learning Program at the University of Utah, teach jewelry making classes for the Smithsonian Associates, and love to travel the world with my #1 side-kick: JPM. In addition to making jewelry, one of my greatest joys is to see folks of all ages discover their own creativity and awaken their maker’s spirit."
