Holiday Glass Ornaments :: Dec. 7 Saturday 1-3 pm
In this workshop, I will focus on guiding you through the process of creating vibrant and colorful glass ornaments. We will be working with transparent and opal colors, but I encourage you to explore any color variations that inspire you for your custom holiday creations, whether it’s a tree, wreath, Star of David, icicle, or something entirely unique.
By the end of our time together, you'll have crafted a delightful glass holiday ornament. Throughout the workshop, I will teach you how to arrange the color strips of glass to add texture to your ornament. You'll also learn about the chemistry of glass, the various firing temperatures, and how glass behaves when exposed to heat. This is a one-day class, and you'll be able to pick up your projects at a later date, as firing the glass in the kiln takes a total of 24 hours.
This workshop is for beginners who have never worked with glass before. Basic glass cutting is required. Sarinda will have all the tools and instructions for you to learn how to cut glass.
This workshop is an average of 1-2 hours depending on the students interaction.
Class SIZE is limited to 12 students.
Studio address: 422 West 900 South Unit 107, Salt Lake City UT 84101
