2 Day:: Artist Design Sheets & Objects :: March 25 & 26, Wednesday 6-8 pm & Thursday , 6-8 pm
In This two day class you will craft a personalized project by utilizing one or more of your distinct glass designs through the creation of artist part sheets. On the first day, you'll make your own custom glass design sheets, which you'll then transform the artist sheets into unique glass object on the second day.
During the workshop, you'll develop several stunning custom designs using techniques that incorporate glass powders, stringers, frit, and various reactions. Additionally, you'll design a final piece featuring its own set of custom sheet designs.
Immerse yourself in the world of fused glass art with our Fused Glass Artisan Plate Workshop! This engaging class invites participants to explore their creativity while crafting stunning plate sculptures that can serve as eye-catching decor for any space.
What to Expect:
- Introduction to Fused Glass: Begin with an overview of fused glass techniques, including the basics of cutting, layering, and combining different glass pieces to achieve beautiful designs.
- Design Your Sculpture: Participants will design and create their own unique 7” plate. Choose from a wide variety of colorful glass pieces, textures, and embellishments to bring your vision to life.
- Hands-On Instruction: Our skilled instructor will guide you through each step of the process, providing tips and techniques to help you create a piece that reflects your individual style.
- Firing Process: Once your sculpture is complete, it will be placed in a kiln for firing. This process fuses the glass pieces together, resulting in a durable and stunning piece of art.
- Take Home Your Artwork: After the firing process is complete, you’ll take home your handcrafted plate sculpture, ready to display in your home.

-Materials Provided: All necessary materials, including glass, tools, and safety equipment, will be supplied. Just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to create!
Classes are on average 2-3 hours depending on the students interaction.

Class time is defined as a structured period that begins at a specified start time and concludes at an end time, allowing for a half-hour on completion period. This layaway time offers students a brief interval to complete their projects and prepare for their departure from the studio. However, if projects are not completed within the last half-hour grace of the designated end time, a fee of $35 will be incurred for each additional half-hour required. This policy ensures that students are encouraged to manage their time effectively while also maintaining the integrity of the class schedule.
