Organic Bowl Workshop :: February 7 Friday 6-8 pm
This workshop will be concentrated in how to create a glass work of art that creates depth. With using "Frit" a glass term for caused up bits of sheet glass. We will be using transparent and opal colors in the bowl form. However, you can use this in any color variation that you want.
You will have a 5" glass Bowl. You will learn how to Place the frit to create the depth and texture of this organic bowl, including the chemistry of glass, firing temperatures and how glass behaves under heat. This is a one day class with pick up of projects at a later date due to firing the glass in the kiln takes 50 hours total. This workshop is for beginners who have never worked with glass before. No glass cutting required.
Classes are on average 2-3 hours depending on the students interaction.
Class fee is $97 plus materials fee $40 Total $137.00
Small Class SIZE is limited to 12 students.
