NEW REACTIVE ACTIVES :: Master Glass Workshop :: March 13, 14 & 15
Sarinda Jones will guild you through a three day in person workshop and the steps to create the fused glass Reactive Glass projects. We will be using Bullseye Glass COE 90 glass in this workshop. I do not work with 96 COE.
We will start with a sample test tile to see and understand why reactive glass works the way it does. You will receive an
-Eighteen page syllabus for your reference including firing schedules,
-Bullseye reactive color chart,
-instructions to complete 1 sample test tile. Or you can follow along to make with what reactive you have in your studio.
-Including instructions of how to make 10 sample tiles with various different reactive to incorporate into your art form.
-Last day we will bring everything together and create a sculpture using your new found education. Sarinda will demonstrate several ideas for completed projects.
This fusing glass course will encourage you, the artist, to emerge, experiment and, play. Follow along with Sarinda as she demonstrates seven of these reactive project test samples on day two. Then day 3 from start to finish focusing on color and style, and using your new found magic of reactive glass we will be creating a finished and final project. All the while encouraging you to find your own artistic voice and to develop your own style.
This is an advance master glass class. There will be some abstract thinking here. Please know this is new to most of you and please be kind and gentle with yourselves. You are not supposed to have all the answers at this point. It is recommended to have at least two years of fused glass experience.
The week of the workshop you will get login information to the workshop, syllabus, and cut list of materials. I will record the classes. HOWEVER, They are only available to be download for five days. Please download them immediately when the link is emailed out. After that they are permanently deleted from Zoom. This is zooms rules.
This class is recommended not to be a work along side Sarinda and it is not a requirement to have all the materials as that would be quite expensive for you. It is however a great class to take without having all the materials on hand. Once class is over you will know exactly what products you want to incorporate into your own studio. Yes- I am saving you tons of money. ;)
Class will be all one week, back to back class days, for about 2-3 hours.
