UofU :: Organic Bowl Workshop :: August 22 Thursday :: 6-9pm
Create your own piece of art glass, perfect for display or use. You'll use "frit" - bits of sheet glass - to add transparent and opal colors to a bowl form. Explore the chemistry of glass, how to place frit to create depth and texture, and how glass behaves under heat. By the end of this single-day class, your piece will be ready to spend 50 hours in the kiln, emerging as a 5' art glass bowl. Best of all, there's no glass-cutting required! This is a beginner class, no experience necessary.
